Our Essential List
We will be watching movies on and off from our essential list, so make sure to check them out!
The Rating System
Treasure
A film that hits all the points; cinematography, acting, directing, sound, and entertainment value. Something you will treasure forever.
Gem
A film that can be appreciated time-and-time-again. Something that brings entertainment that audiences can enjoy. A diamond-in-the-rough if you will.
Shelve
A film that belongs on the shelf; you take it out every once in a while to watch, but not something you’re returning to any time soon.
Trash
A film that is exactly what this ranking is: trash. Trash films have poor scripts, acting, and directing, but can maintain some semblance of entertainment. *Note that some trash films can actually be positive (i.e. Willy’s Wonderland)
Dumpster Fire
A film that is the worst-of-the-worst. There is nothing redeemable about a dumpster fire, and it shouldn’t see the light of day.
